Man dies after multiple collision

SEMARANG: A man died on Monday morning after a multiple collision in downtown Semarang between a motorcycle and three cars, including a luxury Cherokee belonging to a city police officer. The collision occurred as the Cherokee, owned by Central Java Police planning and administration officer Sr. Comr. Kasran, was traveling along Jl. Tugu.

Suddenly, it was hit from behind by a truck. The truck swerved to the right and hit another trailer truck and a motorcycle in front of it, resulting in the death of Muladi Labib, 34, the driver of the truck. Nanik Purwaningsih, the driver of the motorcycle, was taken to the hospital after suffering a broken leg. -- JP
