Man Attempting to Abduct 3-Year-Old Girl in Bogor Apprehended by Residents

A man suspected of attempting to kidnap a three-year-old girl in Bojong Village, Tenjo District, Bogor, West Java, has been apprehended by residents. Tenjo Police Chief Iptu Hendrik Hartono confirmed the suspect was taken into custody on Friday. The incident occurred on Friday evening. Based on initial investigations, police received information that the child was to be taken for busking. “Based on last night’s interrogation, the suspect allegedly intended to take the child to be used as a busker,” he stated. However, examinations are ongoing to deepen the investigation into the incident. According to witness statements, the man had already picked up the child and was about to take her away. Hendrik noted that initial handling has been carried out, and further investigation has been handed over to investigators from the Women and Children Protection Unit of the Bogor Police.
