Man arrested over firearms possession

JAKARTA (JP): Jakarta Police mobile detectives (Resmob) arrested a man over possession of five firearms on Jl. Tulodong Bawah No. 17B in South Jakarta, a police report said.

The report identified the suspected illegal gun trader as Stephanus Turangan.

"Mobile police detectives confiscated two handguns, one rifle, two pen guns and several bullets from Stephanus, and arrested him.

"We obtained information about Stephanus from the general public," the report said.

"Police searched the man and found the guns." (ylt)
