A man identified as AAU has been arrested on suspicion of drug distribution at a rented property in Parung, Bogor District. A smoking device and approximately 200 tablets of Schedule G narcotic drugs, commonly referred to as ‘T-Rex’, were seized.

“The suspect detained is a man with the initials AAU. He was arrested last night around 22:30 WIB,” said Parung Police Station Commander Police Major Maman Firmansyah on Wednesday (18 March 2026).

Maman stated that the arrest stemmed from a community report alleging drug distribution at one of the rented properties. Following up on this information, officers from Parung Police Station visited the location and conducted an inspection with the local neighbourhood head and community leader.

“From the inspection inside the rented property, officers discovered Schedule G narcotic medication of the type Trihexyphenidyl. This drug is frequently abused and is known in certain circles by the nickname ‘T-Rex’, totalling approximately 20 tablets or around 200 pills,” said Maman.

“Additionally, a number of other pieces of evidence were secured, including one iPhone mobile phone, one wallet, and a straw-like device or bong used for smoking,” he added.

Maman stated that the suspect and evidence have been handed over to Bogor Regional Police’s Narcotics Unit for further action. He urged the community to remain actively engaged in maintaining security and order in their neighbourhoods, including reporting suspicious matters to the police.

“In the process of further handling, Parung Police Station has coordinated with the Narcotics Investigation Unit of Bogor Regional Police. The suspected perpetrator and evidence have been transferred to Bogor Regional Police for further investigation, in accordance with applicable legal provisions,” said Maman.
