Bogor Police Narcotics Investigation Unit chief AKP Ferly said the incident took place at about 5pm on Friday, 9 October 2026. D was conducting the transaction near a residential neighbourhood.

Residents became suspicious of D’s behaviour and alerted the police, who promptly went to the location.

“During the search, officers found evidence consisting of a clear plastic packet containing white crystals suspected to be methamphetamine, with a gross weight of 0.23 grams,” he said.

D was taken to the police station for further investigation. He told investigators that he had bought the methamphetamine from someone he did not know.

“The suspect said he had previously bought methamphetamine from an unknown person through an anonymous Instagram account, for personal consumption,” Ferly said.
