Man arrested for sexual abuse

TANGERANG: A man was arrested at his home in Pinang district, Tangerang, on Monday evening on charges of sexually abusing a seven-year-old boy.

Cipondoh Police chief Insp. Sudaryo said on Tuesday that the suspect, Sunaryo Sutejo, 53, admitted that he abused the boy on six separate occasions at his house.

The victim's mother found her son at the suspect's house and filed a complaint with the Cipondoh Police.

Sudaryo said the suspect would be charged under Article 292 of the Criminal Code on the sexual abuse of minors. The article carries a maximum punishment of five years in prison. -- JP
