Man Arrested for Raping 90-Year-Old Woman in Grobogan

A man in Grobogan has been arrested by police for committing sexual violence against a 90-year-old woman. The perpetrator struck while the victim was alone at home. The incident occurred on Monday evening (29/6/2026) at the victim’s residence in the Grobogan District area. Grobogan Police Chief AKP Sunarto explained that the victim’s family had gone out at the time. “At that time, the victim was alone at home after her family members left to attend a wake in the neighbourhood,” said Sunarto. “Allegedly taking advantage of the situation, the suspect, who was at the victim’s house, then carried out his act,” he added. Sunarto stated the victim is a 90-year-old woman, while the perpetrator is known by the initials RU (31). Both live in the same village. “The victim tried to resist, but due to violence and threats, the perpetrator was able to carry out the rape,” he explained. Shortly after, the victim’s family members returned home and caught the perpetrator in the act. “Upon realising the presence of the victim’s family members, the perpetrator immediately stopped his actions and fled the victim’s house,” he clarified.
