Man Arrested for Allegedly Harassing Passenger on TransJakarta Sky Route

A man was arrested by officers after allegedly harassing a passenger on a TransJakarta bus heading towards Puri Beta, Tangerang, on the sky route or Corridor 13. The case has been handed over to the police. The alleged harassment on the TransJakarta bus went viral on social media. A video showed a man being detained by officers, with a narration stating that the perpetrator committed the harassment on a TransJakarta bus heading to the Puri Beta bus stop before being removed at the Seskoal bus stop. TransJakarta’s Head of Public Relations and CSR, Ayu Wardhani, confirmed the incident. She expressed regret over the suspected perpetrator’s actions. ‘The safety and comfort of customers are TransJakarta’s top priorities. Responding to this alleged incident of sexual harassment, we regret and confirm the occurrence,’ Ayu told reporters on Wednesday (22/7/2026). She explained that officers immediately took action against the perpetrator. Officers also secured the victim to provide initial assistance. ‘Officers on the ground acted swiftly and responsively by immediately securing the victim and the suspected perpetrator at the scene,’ she said. TransJakarta has also coordinated with the police. The case has been handed over to the police for processing in accordance with the law. ‘In addition to providing protection and initial assistance to the victim, our officers immediately coordinated and handed over the handling of this case to the police authorities to be processed according to the applicable legal provisions,’ she stated.
