Man Allegedly a Government Contract Teacher Threatens Coffee Vendor with Machete in Bima

A video of a man threatening a housewife using a sharp weapon at a coffee stall in Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has gone viral on social media. The man is alleged to be a teacher with the status of Government Employee with Work Agreement (PPPK).

The 19-second video was first uploaded by the Facebook account @YanBima. In the recording, a female coffee vendor can be seen tidying up her goods at her container-style stall.

Shortly after, a man dressed entirely in black arrived and began hurling insults at the woman. Refusing to accept the abuse, the woman retaliated with verbal insults, leading to a heated argument between the two.

The situation escalated as the man was seen kicking the stall several times. He then produced a machete, which he had previously hidden behind his shirt.

According to the post, the incident took place in the Sape District, Bima Regency. The video has drawn various comments from netizens, many of whom have condemned the actions of the perpetrator—known to be a PPPK teacher—and are calling on the police to process the case as it has caused public unrest.

Based on investigations by detikBali, the incident was officially reported to the Sape Police Station on Monday (31/08/2026). The complainant has been identified as Nur Islamiah (26), a resident of Bugis Village, Sape District.

The case reported by the victim involves alleged criminal threats occurring at a coffee stall in a private bank parking area in Sape District on Sunday (30/08/2026) night. The reported individual is identified by the initials D.

The Chief of Sape Police, AKP Sirajuddin, had not yet provided a statement regarding the report when contacted by detikBali on Tuesday (01/09/2026) night.
