Mampang Underpass Flood in South Jakarta Recedes, Traffic Returns to Normal
Flooding at the Mampang Prapatan underpass in South Jakarta has receded, and vehicle traffic has returned to normal. Observers from detikcom at the scene on Sunday, 8 March 2026, at 14:08 WIB noted that traffic from Jalan Mampang toward Jalan Rasuna Said could now pass, and traffic from Rasuna Said toward Ragunan was also reopened. The underpass remains damp due to the flood, but traffic is now normal. Earlier, the Mampang Prapatan underpass was flooded following overnight heavy rain, preventing vehicles from passing. Firefighters were at the scene pumping out the floodwater to speed up drainage. Orange-clad personnel were also there to clear debris left by the flood; at 12:04 WIB traffic had been diverted. By 12:00 WIB, BPBD DKI Jakarta reported that 20 roads were flooded, listing roads 1-20 with elevations of 10 to 40 cm, caused by high rainfall. Transjakarta routes have returned to normal too. The official Transjakarta X account stated that Corridor 6 services on Routes 6A, 6B, 6H, 6M and 6V at the Mampang Underpass are operating normally again without diversions.
