Underpass Mampang Prapatan in South Jakarta was flooded after overnight rain, and vehicles could not pass. Detikcom observed at the scene on Sunday, 8 March 2026, at 12:00 WIB, with the floodwater height estimated at about 10 cm. Traffic from Rasuna Said Street and in the opposite direction along Tutty Alawiyah Street could not cross the underpass.

Fire and Rescue personnel were at the site. They were pumping out the floodwater to help water recede. Orange-clad personnel were also present to clear debris left by the flood. By 12:04 WIB, traffic had been diverted. From Mampang Prapatan, traffic was redirected to Tendean Street; from Rasuna Said, traffic was redirected to Gatot Subroto Street. The flood caused congestion along the affected routes.

Jaksel Fire Department officer Surya said this was the first flood at the underpass. Since 10:30 WIB, crews had been pumping out the floodwater. “This is the first or second time; for the first time we are pumping here. Since 10:30 WIB (we have been pumping out the flood),” Surya told Detikcom at the scene.
