Malut United Aim for Three Points in Their Last Home Game
Ambon (ANTARA) - Malut United is aiming for a victory when they host Persita in their last home game of the Super League season at Gelora Kie Raha Stadium, Ternate, on Saturday (16/5) at 9:00 PM WIT.
“We will try to put on our best performance and close out our last home game of the season with three points,” said Malut United head coach Hendri Susilo in a pre-match press conference in Ternate on Friday.
After earning six points from three away matches in Central Java, Laskar Kie Raha returns to the City of Spices with high motivation to maintain their positive trend.
Hendri stated that all players are in good condition and ready to play, despite the absence of midfielder Wbeymar Angulo due to a red card in the previous match against PSIM.
“Today’s training session went smoothly. All players are in the best condition and ready to play against Persita,” he said.
He assured that Angulo’s absence will not significantly affect his team’s strategy.
“We still have many options in midfield, including Manahati, Alwi, Tri, and Cardoso. We have tried them all, and it has gone well. So, Angulo’s absence is not a problem,” said the 60-year-old coach.
Persita will also be without one of their key players, Javlon Guseynov, who is absent due to a red card.
“In my opinion, without Javlon, Persita will still play with full enthusiasm because they want to steal points. I personally focus on our own game and the strategy prepared by the coach,” said Frets.
The winger from Jailolo, North Maluku, affirmed that all players are determined to secure a victory for the supporters.
“Everyone will work hard to win three points,” he said.
Malut United and Persita have met three times in the national elite competition. Malut United won once, while the other two matches ended in a draw.
Persita is in ninth place in the Super League standings with 44 points, while Malut United is in sixth place with 52 points.
“Please pray and support Malut United so that we can achieve the best results in tomorrow’s match,” said Hendri.
