Malonda, KPMG not suspended
JAKARTA (JP): Public accounting firm Johan, Malonda & Partners denied reports yesterday that the Capital Market Supervisory Agency (Bapepam) had suspended its license to operate in the capital market.
"What happened is that our activities in the capital market were only limited temporarily. Thus, Johan, Malonda & Partners is still open for business," the company said in a statement.
The company said that the limitation of its activities had nothing to do with the revoked licenses of 10 securities and investment companies as reported by The Jakarta Post on May 8.
Public accounting firm KPMG Hanadi Sudjendro and Partners also had its activities temporarily limited, not suspended, the statement said.
Both public accounting companies are operating as usual, the statement said. (aly)
