Malaysia's royals to visit Europe
KUALA LUMPUR (DPA): Malaysia's King Ja'afar Abdul Rahman and Queen Najihah will make state visits to Hungary and Poland from next week, the Foreign Ministry said yesterday.
The visits are aimed at enhancing ties and cooperation. The couple will make a five-day visit to Hungary beginning May 19, and arrive in Poland on May 26 for a three-day visit.
Apart from meetings with heads of state and government, King Ja'afar's itinerary includes laying a wreath at the Heroes Square in Budapest and receiving the key to the Hungarian capital.
In Poland, his program includes also laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and a visit to Cracow.
