Malaysian police nab 28 Indonesians

JAKARTA (JP): Malaysian police detained 28 Indonesian immigrants including eight women during a three-hour operation at two places in Alor Gajah district, in the southern Malaysian state of Melaka on Monday night, Bernama reported.

The immigrants did not have traveling documents and their work permits had expired, Melaka Public Order and Traffic Chief Superintendent Onn Ahmad said Tuesday.

Nineteen of them were held at the UiTM construction site in Lendu and nine at the Taman Mewah flats area in Kelemak, he told reporters.
