Malaysian Pilot Arrested in Drug Case, Carrying Camouflage Urine Bottle

A pilot for a Malaysian airline, Mohd Saufi bin Othman, was arrested by a joint team from the Indonesian National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) and Customs at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Tuesday (28/7). During the inspection, officers found 14 large packages and one small package of methamphetamine hidden inside the suspect’s suitcase. In addition to allegedly acting as a courier for methamphetamine and ecstasy, the suspect was also found carrying a bottle of urine, which is suspected to have been intended to deceive a drug test. Meanwhile, Malaysia Airlines stated that it respects the legal process currently underway in Indonesia and will be cooperative in the investigation conducted by the local authorities.
