Malaysian Influencer Aisar Khaled Embroiled in Alleged Fraud Case
Malaysian influencer Aisar Khaled is facing legal proceedings after being reported by an Indonesian agency.
The report was filed with the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya) on Monday (14/9). Aisar was reported after summons and communication attempts to resolve the investment issue proved unsuccessful.
“Our client, which is a corporation, has been defrauded by an influencer named Aisar Khaled, a Malaysian citizen,” said the complainant’s legal counsel, Machi Achmad, to reporters on Tuesday (15/9).
Another legal counsel for the complainant, Michael Sugijanto, explained that the issue originated from an investment agreement made between his client and Aisar in February 2026.
Michael claimed that under the agreement, there are outstanding obligations from Aisar valued at approximately Rp5.7 billion.
Under the agreement, he stated, Aisar promised to perform live work by attending several events as part of the settlement of his obligations.
“Aisar and our client have signed an investment agreement. In that agreement, the remaining amount unpaid by Aisar is around Rp5.7 billion. Aisar promised our client to pay or perform his work live by attending events,” he said.
Michael also revealed that the last communication between his client and Aisar occurred in July 2026. At that time, Aisar reportedly attended an event organised by the client.
“The last time was July. He did attend our event in July, but prior to that, negotiations had become difficult. He attended in July, but there has been no contact since. He only attended because of the incentive of a reduction in the debt amount,” he added.
Furthermore, Michael stated that this legal step was ultimately taken by his client because summons and communication efforts with Aisar could no longer be sustained.
“Up to this point, we have issued summons and reached out politely with good faith, inviting discussion, but there has been no response,” he said.
“If we cannot summon him ourselves, we are forced to seek help from the authorities. Our hope is that he will face the consequences of his actions,” he continued.
Separately, the Head of Public Relations for the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Kombes Budi Hermanto, confirmed the report against the Malaysian influencer.
“It is true that a report was made last Monday regarding alleged fraudulent acts,” he said when confirmed.
In the report, Aisar is being investigated for alleged criminal fraud or fraudulent acts as regulated under Article 492 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) and/or Article 486 KUHP and/or Article 607 KUHP.
