Malaysia stocks suspended
SINGAPORE (Reuters): The Stock Exchange of Singapore (SES) said on Friday it would end trading of Malaysian shares.
It said trading of such shares, suspended on Friday, would resume for one week, from a date yet to be set, after which trading of these shares would cease.
"After extensive consultation with the industry, the SES has concluded that it will no longer be viable for it to provide Singapore investors with the facility to trade Malaysian shares on CLOB," the SES said in a statement.
CLOB International, the Central Limit Order Book, is the over- the-counter trading system in Singapore.
"Trading of Malaysian shares on CLOB will resume for one week from a date to be determined. Thereafter, trading of Malaysian shares on CLOB will cease," the SES said.
