KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters): Malaysia's palm oil futures
drifted at the close on Wednesday with players expecting the export figures for May to show declines once again, traders said.
Cargo surveyors Intertech Testing Services (ITS) and Societe Generale de Surveillance Malaysia Sdn Bhd (SGS) are scheduled to release the export data on Thursday.
June crude palm oil for the southern and central regions was offered at 750 ringgit a ton against bids at 747.50, and deals were reported at 745 to 750 for south and at 745 to 749 for central.
July (south) crude palm oil was offered at 765 ringgit against bids at 760. Deals were done at 760. July (central) crude palm oil saw offers at 760 ringgit a ton against bids of 755, but there were no deals.
Among refined products, June RBD palm oil was offered at $215 a ton FOB and July at 217.50.
There were offers for June RBD olein at $230 a ton FOB and July at 232.50.
June RBD palm stearin was offered at $167.50 and June palm fatty acid distillate at $137.50.
