Malang Police Hold Security Roll Call to Strengthen Regional Protection
Malang Police held a Security and Public Order Troop Roll Call in the courtyard of Malang Police Headquarters this morning. The activity involved elements of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), local government, police, and community groups to strengthen preparedness in maintaining security in Malang Regency.
Malang Police Chief AKBP Rulian Syauri said the National Police cannot work alone in maintaining a conducive atmosphere in the region. Collaboration with the TNI, local government and the community is needed to carry out early prevention.
“This troop roll call is not merely a ceremonial activity, but a momentum to check the readiness of personnel and facilities and infrastructure while strengthening the synergy of all elements involved in maintaining public order and security,” Rulian told reporters on Wednesday (26/8/2026).
The roll call served as a momentum to check the readiness of personnel and facilities and infrastructure while strengthening cross-sector coordination in anticipating various potential disturbances to public security and order.
After the roll call, the activity continued with an inspection of the readiness of equipment and supporting facilities to be used by personnel in carrying out duties in the field. This inspection was conducted to ensure all equipment is ready for use when needed.
According to him, potential disturbances that need to be anticipated include not only criminality, but also social conflicts and public order disturbances. Therefore, all elements are asked to understand the characteristics of the region and points that have potential vulnerability.
Patrols Increased
Rulian also requested that joint patrols be increased, especially during hours and at locations prone to security disturbances. Cross-agency coordination and communication with the community are also considered important so that every issue can be addressed early.
“Malang Police cannot work alone. Collaboration and cooperation from all elements are needed, including the TNI, government and community elements,” he said.
In addition to maintaining security directly, Rulian highlighted the importance of vigilance in the digital space. According to him, the community and all security elements need to jointly safeguard the digital space so that it is not exploited to spread false information or content that could aggravate the situation.
“To all roll call participants, I hope our presence in the community can be felt in a tangible way. Increase joint patrol activities, especially during hours and at locations prone to crime,” he said.
Afterwards, the activity continued with a large-scale joint patrol in several areas of Malang Regency. This patrol serves as a preventive measure to ensure the presence of officers while anticipating potential public order disturbances in the field.
Rulian hopes the synergy can make responses to every situational development faster and more precise. The community is also expected to play a role by promptly conveying information if they discover potential security disturbances in their surroundings.
“Let us make Malang Regency a safe, comfortable, orderly and conducive area so that all community, government and development activities can run well,” he concluded.
