Malang Customs Issues NPPBKC to PT Karunia Abadi Group
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MALANG - The Malang Customs Office issued a Nomor Pokok Pengusaha Barang Kena Cukai (NPPBKC) licence to PT Karunia Abadi Group as a taxable goods entrepreneur for tobacco products on Thursday (5/3/2026). “This is part of our commitment to supporting the development of the domestic industry through transparent and accountable licensing services,” said the Head of the Malang Customs Office, Johan Pandores. Johan revealed that as part of the licensing issuance process, a business process presentation activity was also conducted on Thursday (5/3), delivered directly by the Director of PT Karunia Abadi Group, Rahmat Priyandono. Rahmat, as the company director, comprehensively explained the operational plans for the tobacco products factory, from the raw material receipt flow, production process, to final product packaging. He outlined various supporting aspects of operational activities, including the number of workers, organisational structure, factory building layout and placement, division of production and storage areas, as well as the factory location and its territorial boundaries. This presentation aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the company’s readiness to conduct business activities in the taxable goods sector. The activity continued with a discussion and question-and-answer session with the Head of the Malang Customs Office, Johan Pandores, and related officials to ensure the company’s business processes align with excise regulations. Johan stated that this presentation stage is an important part of ensuring the readiness and compliance of business actors before obtaining a licence as a taxable goods entrepreneur. “This process serves to ensure that the business activities carried out meet excise regulations and support the creation of a healthy and orderly business climate,” he said. After going through a series of presentations, discussions, and evaluations, the NPPBKC for PT Karunia Abadi Group was finally issued. With the issuance of this licence, the company is deemed to have met the administrative and technical requirements to conduct activities as a taxable goods entrepreneur in the tobacco products sector. The issuance of the NPPBKC is one manifestation of the Customs Office’s role as industrial assistance to continue supporting ease of doing business for industry players, while ensuring business activities run in accordance with applicable regulations. Through fast, easy, and transparent licensing services, it is hoped that more business actors will develop legally and contribute to the national economy.
