Makassar to host APSA meeting
MAKASSAR, South Sulawesi: Hasanuddin University in South
Sulawesi province will host the 6th meeting of the Asia-Pacific
Sociology Association (APSA) from July 25 through July 28.
"The decision was made during the previous APSA meeting in
Brisbane, Australia, in 2002," one of the organization's founding
members, Andi Lolo, said in the provincial capital, Makassar, on
Thursday.
Some 100 local and foreign participants are scheduled to take
part in the meeting, which will discuss sociological issues in
the Asia-Pacific region, he said. --Antara
