Makassar ring road to cost Rp 90b

MAKASSAR, South Sulawesi: The ring road to be constructed around Makassar will cost the municipality administration and the city's residents Rp 90 billion (US$11 million).

The construction of the 12.99 kilometer road with the width of 42 meters is scheduled to begin later this year.

Head of the Makassar municipality infrastructure office, Abd. Latif, said on Thursday that the construction was expected to reduce traffic congestion in the northern and southern parts of the city. -- Antara
