Makassar Hajj Committee Welcomes Two West Sulawesi Pilgrim Flight Groups in One Day

The Hajj Organising Committee (PPIH) at the Makassar embarkation point welcomed the arrival of two flight groups (kloter) of pilgrims from West Sulawesi Province on the same day and accommodated them at the Sudiang Hajj Dormitory in Makassar. Muflihuddin, Head of Administration at the South Sulawesi Ministry of Religious Affairs Regional Office, personally received the pilgrims from flight group 12 at the Arafah Hall of the Sudiang Hajj Dormitory on Wednesday and formally handed them over to Murdanil, Head of the West Sulawesi Provincial Government’s People’s Welfare Bureau. He stated that the first flight group from West Sulawesi, group 11, had arrived earlier, followed by group 12 a few hours later, with both groups officially transferred to the provincial government after the reception ceremony. Flight group 12 used a Garuda Indonesia aircraft, flight number GIA 1412, carrying 393 individuals, comprising 387 pilgrims from West Sulawesi and six group officers. Muflihuddin noted that the West Sulawesi pilgrims travelled to the Holy Land of Mecca in four flight groups, and two of these have now returned to Indonesia. According to the schedule released by PPIH Debarkasi Makassar, the repatriation of West Sulawesi pilgrims now has two flight groups remaining, namely group 19 and group 20. He confirmed that two groups arrived home on Wednesday (10/6), with the remaining two groups scheduled to arrive as part of flight groups 19 and 20. The total number of pilgrims and officers who have returned to Indonesia through the UPG Makassar embarkation point has reached 4,705, consisting of 1,423 men and 3,282 women.
