Jakarta - Global startup support agency UD IMPACT held ‘MAJU:ON The Final Demo Day’ as a platform for young Indonesian startups in environmental and energy sectors to enter global investment markets.

The event, held in Jakarta on Sunday (24/5), was a follow-up to the ‘MAJU:ON Dialogue on Entrepreneurship, Powered by AI’ programme conducted in February 2026.

Executive Vice President and Head of LNG Business Division at SK Innovation E&S, Jong Mun Lee, said in a written statement released in Jakarta on Monday that the company continues to support the development of young Indonesian talent in the environmental and energy sectors.

‘We have consistently identified and supported promising young talent in Indonesia, and today the entire mentoring process has proven to yield tangible business achievements through this Final Demo Day,’ he said.

‘Indonesian startups have significant potential to grow in international markets, particularly those in green technology and sustainability sectors,’ he added.

‘We will continue to be a global partner for young Indonesian startups so that the technologies and innovations developed can contribute to the country’s environmental and energy ecosystems,’ Jong Mun Lee said.

Meanwhile, UD IMPACT CEO Kim Jeong-heon stated that AI-based startup support is crucial in helping participants develop more robust and competitive business models.

The event was attended by over 200 participants, including the Director of Digital Ecosystems Development at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, Sonny Sudayarna; the Chairman of Nexticorn Foundation, Rudiantara; and South Korean Embassy representative Chung Hae Kwan.

Additionally, the event involved representatives from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi), global venture capital firms, academics, and industry players.

At the event, 10 selected startups presented innovative business models focused on renewable energy solutions, eco-friendly waste management, and AI-based technologies for the environmental sector.

The 10 startups were Mecara Tech, Weara Tech, AIGRA, GISACT, Aruponic, Jelajah Rattan, Life Guards, Catalyssum, GoTani, and Manacaina. GISACT was named the winner of the MAJU:ON Final Demo Day.

The programme included mock investment sessions, the establishment of the ‘MAJU:ON Fund’, business matching, and networking opportunities to open collaboration and investment prospects for participating startups.

The ‘MAJU:ON’ programme also strengthens cross-sector collaboration through partnerships with Sinar Mas Land for developing an AI Entrepreneurship Academy in BSD, Garuda Spark Innovation Hub, the Indonesian Business Incubators Association, Ciputra University, and Angin Dampak Jaya via the ‘MAJU:ON Fund’ initiative.

Through the programme, UD IMPACT aims to support the emergence of more startups that are not only commercially viable but also contribute to sustainability and economic transformation in Indonesia.
