Major Reshuffle at Attorney General's Office: 29 Officials Rotated, Including Director of Investigation for Jampidsus

Jakarta, VIVA – Attorney General ST Burhanuddin has carried out a refresh of the ranks of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus).

One change drawing attention is the replacement of the Director of Investigation at Jampidsus, as part of a rotation involving dozens of officials within the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung).

The reshuffle is set out in Attorney General Decision Letter Number 381 dated 22 July 2026. In total, 29 officials from the Adhyaksa Corps appear on the rotation and transfer list.

Under the decision, Director of Investigation at Jampidsus Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi received a new assignment as Director III at the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence at the Attorney General’s Office.

His post is now filled by Rinaldi Umar, who previously served as Deputy Head of the Banten High Prosecutor’s Office. Rinaldi is known to be part of “Team 9”, which handled the corruption case involving the former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah.

A change also occurred in the position of Director of Operational Control at Jampidsus. Muhammad Syarifuddin was promoted to Head of the South Sulawesi High Prosecutor’s Office, whilst the post he vacated is now filled by Erich Folanda, previously Deputy Head of the Central Java High Prosecutor’s Office.

Not only that, two coordinating prosecutors within Jampidsus also received new assignments. Dandeni Herdiana was entrusted as Deputy Head of the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor’s Office, whilst Andi Suharlis was transferred as Deputy Head of the Special Region of Yogyakarta High Prosecutor’s Office.

The Head of the Legal Information Centre (Kapuspenkum) at the Attorney General’s Office, Anang Supriatna, confirmed the rotation and transfers.

“This is a normal matter, part of the promotion and rotation process for organisational refreshment, as well as to fill several vacant positions,” said Anang when contacted on Thursday, 23 July 2026.

According to Anang, the policy was carried out to ensure that services to the public, particularly in the field of law enforcement, continue to run optimally.

“In the interest of the smooth running of services to the community or the public, especially in service delivery and law enforcement,” he said.
