BMKG forecaster Sastia, reporting via a virtual briefing from Jakarta on Friday, said cities on Sumatra including Medan, Padang, Jambi, Pangkalpinang, and Tanjung Pinang are likely to see light to moderate rain. β€œOn Java Island, light to moderate rain is expected in Bandung and Semarang, while Jakarta, Serang, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya are forecast to be cloudy,” Sastia said. Bali, Mataram, and Kupang are forecast to be partly cloudy. In Kalimantan, light to moderate rain is likely in Samarinda and Pontianak, while Tanjung Selor and Palangka Raya are forecast to experience heavy rain with thunderstorms. Banjarmasin will be cloudy.
