A fire occurred at the Tulungagung Petrol Station (SPBU) in Kertasemaya District, Indramayu Regency, on Friday (25/09/2026) at approximately 13:30 WIB. Two vehicles that were refuelling at the location were consumed by the flames.

The Chief of Sukagumiwang Police, AKP Suripto, explained that the fire began while station staff were refuelling a Grand Livina minibus, registration number E 1571 SP, with Pertalite. According to statements from station employees, the fire was first spotted originating from the Grand Livina.

“At that moment, a fire suddenly broke out. We are still investigating the cause of the fire,” said Suripto.

In addition to the Grand Livina, the flames quickly spread to a nearby tronton truck, registration number N 8556 UQ. The large vehicle, which was transporting iron, was in the process of refuelling with Biosolar.

“In total, there were two vehicles burnt,” Suripto explained.

Suripto stated that, besides the two vehicles, part of the petrol station’s roof and one fuel pump were also caught in the fire. However, the blaze did not spread to the entire area of the station.

Suripto noted that authorities immediately conducted an investigation and processed the crime scene once the fire was extinguished. As of now, the exact cause of the fire has not been confirmed.

“There were no casualties in this fire,” Suriptio added.

He noted that the driver and passengers of the Grand Livina managed to exit the vehicle as soon as the fire appeared. Similarly, the driver of the tronton truck also quickly moved away to ensure their safety. However, the driver of the Grand Livina sustained minor burns to their hand.
