Major Fire at Second-Hand Goods Stalls in Tangerang, Firefighting Still Underway

A fire has engulfed several second-hand goods stalls on Jalan Perancis, Benda District, Tangerang City. Firefighting efforts are currently underway.

“Yes, it’s true, there’s a fire at the stalls,” said a Tangerang City fire department officer, Bahtiar, when contacted on Thursday (26/2/2026).

He reported that the fire occurred on Wednesday (25/2) evening at around 7:30 PM. As of now, the firefighting process is still ongoing.

“It’s still ongoing, possibly in the cooling phase now,” he said.

He mentioned that three fire trucks were dispatched from the Tangerang City Fire Department headquarters. He has not yet been able to determine the cause of the fire.

“Earlier, there were three units from headquarters; we haven’t been able to determine the cause of the fire yet,” he said.
