Major changes in city police
JAKARTA (JP): A number of high-ranking city police officers
and police precinct commanders will soon be replaced.
City Police Chief Maj. Gen. Dibyo Widodo announced after a
breaking of fast dinner at the police headquarters yesterday that
he had received a decree about the changes.
According to the decree, signed by National Police Chief Gen.
Banurusman Astrosemitro, the head of the On-the-Alert city
police, Col. Heniyoso, will be replaced by Col. Sumardi, head of
the On-the-Alert East Kalimantan police.
Heniyoso has been appointed director of personnel development
at the Police Academy in Semarang, Central Java.
Head of the City Traffic Police Directorate, Col. Suroso, will
be replaced by Col. Ansyar Roem, head of the Central Java Traffic
Police Directorate.
Suroso has been assigned to join the National Resilience
Institute.
Head of the City Police Operational Command and Control
Center, Col. Muhantojo, will be replaced by Col. Warsito, now
head of the Medan Police Operational Command and Control Center
in North Sumatra.
Muhantojo has been appointed head of the Kediri police in East
Java.
Meanwhile, five police precinct commanders in Greater Jakarta
will also be changed.
Head of the South Jakarta police, Lt. Col. SY Wenas, will lead
the Central Jakarta police. He replaces Lt. Col. Murawi, who has
been promoted as head of the Palembang police in South Sumatra.
Head of the Depok police, Lt. Col. Sisno Adiwinoto, will take
over Wenas' former post. He will be replaced by Lt. Col. Herman
S.S., chief of the Jakarta traffic investigation unit.
Head of the Jakarta narcotics squad, Lt. Col. Djoko Satrio,
has been appointed the new head of the Tangerang police. He
replaces Lt. Col. Hari Setiabudhi, who has been promoted to
secretary of the Central Java crime investigation directorate.
Head of the Tanjung Priok police, Lt. Col. Timbul Sianturi,
has been promoted to head of intelligence in the South Kalimantan
police force.
His successor has yet to be announced. (bsr)
