Majalengka Regency Government will implement a Work From Home (WFH) policy for Civil Servants (ASN) and employees within the regency government. The policy will apply every Monday.

Majalengka Regent, Eman Suherman, explained that the implementation of WFH is a follow-up to central government directives, following global dynamics related to the conflict in the Middle East region which impacts the energy sector.

“This step is part of efforts to adapt to global conditions, particularly the impact on the energy sector, thus requiring efficiency, including in the work patterns of ASN,” said Eman, at the halal bihalal event held at the Setda Majalengka Tennis Court on Thursday (26/3/2026).

According to him, the WFH policy is expected to reduce mobility and energy consumption. However, without reducing the productivity of the apparatus’s performance within the Majalengka Regency Government.

“WFH does not mean a holiday but working from home. So later, officials will give instructions to carry out work according to their respective fields,” Eman clarified.

Nevertheless, Eman emphasised that public services remain the top priority. All regional apparatus are asked to ensure services to the community continue normally, especially in service units that directly interact with the public.

In addition, Eman also urged the public not to panic in responding to the policy. He assured that conditions in the area remain safe and under control.

“We ask the public not to panic. This is a precautionary and efficiency step, not because of an emergency situation in the area,” he stressed.

In addition to implementing WFH, Majalengka Regency Government will also carry out other efficiency measures. Such as reducing official travel and limiting ceremonial activities within the government environment.

Majalengka Regency Government will conduct periodic evaluations of the policy to ensure its effectiveness. Not only from the ASN performance side, but also public services to the community.
