Maintenance of 'Argo Bromo'

Maintenance of 'Argo Bromo'

From Sinar Pagi

Two friends of mine and I took the Argo Bromo train from Surabaya to Jakarta at 6:40 p.m. on Sept. 22, 2001. We intentionally chose this train, hoping to receive superior service as well as to feel more relaxed and enjoy the facilities provided by the train management. Unfortunately, our hopes turned into disappointment.

The reading lamps in car No. 2, for example, did not work, so the newspapers and magazines we had bought were useless as we could not read them.

It is really ironic that Gumarang train is much cleaner and better maintained than Argo Bromo although the ticket price is lower.

We call on the Indonesian Railway Company (PT KAI) as well as its relevant business partners to continue to provide improved services in the interests of train users.
