Mainaky Cup to start next week

JAKARTA (JP): The first Mainaky Cup championships will take
place next week in Ternate, northern Maluku. The championships
are named after the 1996 Olympic gold medalist Rexy Mainaky.

Darmanto Sukita, chairman of the Badminton Association of
Indonesia (PBSI) Ternate chapter, told Antara on Wednesday that
shuttlers from North Sulawesi, Irian Jaya and Maluku would
compete in the championships.

Rexy, who was raised in Ternate, is scheduled to open the
