Jakarta (ANTARA) - The legal team of Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo, also serving as General Secretary of United PERADI, Ade Darmawan, has urged authorities to thoroughly investigate the main perpetrators behind the fake diploma case involving President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). “Investigate immediately who is funding this; they must be processed, and if necessary, apply the TPPU article, because there are funds that I have heard about in a handful of social media reports; this must be thoroughly investigated,” he said when met in Jakarta on Monday. Ade also added that he was fulfilling a summons from investigators of the Subdirectorate of Criminal Security at the Metro Jaya Police Criminal Investigation Directorate regarding the request for a Letter of Order to Stop Investigation (SP3) and the agreement on Restorative Justice (RJ) submitted by suspect Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar. “Today, I am here, summoned by the Metro Jaya Police investigators in connection with RJ or Restorative Justice,” he said. Ade further mentioned that Rismon Sianipar has realised his mistake and invited him to reveal who the real masterminds of this case are. “I remind you once again, when you get out, don’t just fund it; come out and convey to the public something that is legally valid. Don’t do it ‘behind the screen’; if it is indeed wrong, reveal it, ‘gentleman’. You must be firm; don’t just fund it, come out and state that the diploma is fake. I challenge you,” he said. The Metro Jaya Police confirmed that one of the suspects in the case of the report on the alleged fake diploma of Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), namely Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar (RHS), has applied for restorative justice (RJ). “It is true, one of the suspects, RHS, along with his lawyer, came to us today to inquire about the progress of the letter that he had previously submitted,” said the Director of Criminal Investigation at Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Police Iman Imanuddin, in Jakarta on Wednesday (11/3). Iman stated that a few days ago, RHS along with his lawyer submitted a request for facilitation of “restorative justice” to the investigators. “As facilitators, the investigators have already made efforts and are currently making efforts to facilitate the request submitted by suspect RHS,” he said. Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka responded to the apology conveyed by researcher Rismon Sianipar to Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo regarding his research in the book titled Jokowi’s White Paper. Gibran, in a written statement received by Antara in Jakarta on Thursday (12/3) night, said that Ramadan is a good month for mutual forgiveness and rebuilding bonds of brotherhood. “The month of Ramadan is a very good month for mutual forgiveness and rebuilding bonds of brotherhood,” said Gibran. Vice President Gibran also appreciated Rismon’s statement and attitude, who has provided clarification and expressed his willingness to review the statements he previously made to the public.
