Main Perpetrator in Confinement and Assault of Woman in Bekasi Arrested

Police have arrested a man with the initials S, the main perpetrator in the abduction and assault of a woman with the initials TS in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, West Java. S is TS’s boyfriend.

“He has been arrested,” said Chief of the Criminal Investigation Unit at Metro Bekasi Police, AKBP Jerico Chandra, when contacted on Saturday (18/7/2026).

Jerico has not yet provided further details regarding the time and location of S’s arrest. He said S is still being questioned further in connection with the case.

“For now, the questioning is still ongoing. We plan to release more information on Monday,” he said.

Previously, police had already arrested another suspect with the initials HSLT. HSLT is an employee of the main perpetrator, S.

Driven by Jealousy

As background, a woman with the initials TS in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, West Java, was assaulted by her boyfriend, S, until she sustained serious injuries. It later emerged that the victim was assaulted and held captive because her boyfriend was jealous.

“The motive was jealousy. The boyfriend accused his girlfriend, meaning, of being with someone else,” said AKBP Jerico.

Jerico said the perpetrator had grown suspicious of the victim. The perpetrator alleged that the victim was in a relationship with someone other than him.

“So the boyfriend was jealous, suspecting that his girlfriend was not seeing him alone,” he explained.
