Former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD has challenged Firdaus Oiwobo, who reported former Gadjah Mada University Student Executive Board chairman Tyo Ardianto. Mahfud considers Oiwobo’s view, which asked the police to examine him, to be clearly misguided. According to Mahfud MD, Oiwobo, who claims to be a lawyer, does not understand the law. The use of the word ‘examined’, Mahfud explained, can only be done once it has become a legal case. Secondly, Mahfud stressed that people who enjoy a parody and then laugh are also not committing a criminal act.
