Mahathir visits Japan and U.S.

KUALA LUMPUR (AFP): Malaysian Premier Mahathir Mohamad was
scheduled to leave late yesterday on a working visit to Japan and
the United States.

Mahathir is scheduled to address the World Teleport
Association assembly at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center
today.

On Wednesday, he will deliver the keynote address at the
presentation of Malaysia's multi-media super corridor project
sponsored by telecommunications giant Nippon Telegraph and
Telephone Corp.

On Friday, the Malaysian Premier will deliver another keynote
address at the "Future of Asia" international conference. He will
then leave for the United States to attend the Pacific Basin
Economic Council international general meeting in Washington.
