Mahathir to visit Japan next week

TOKYO (AFP): Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad will
pay an unofficial visit to Japan for three days starting from
tomorrow, the foreign ministry said yesterday.

Mahathir will attend a dinner party to be hosted by Prime
Minister Ryutaro Hashimoto on Monday, the ministry said.

He will also visit Japanese high-tech companies while holding
talks with representatives of small- and medium-sized companies,
it said.
