Mahathir down with cold: Aide

KUALA LUMPUR (AFP): Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad came down
with a bad cold yesterday and will be resting for two days on his
doctor's advice, an aide said.

"It is just the common cold accompanied by fever. If there is
something serious we will issue a statement," an aide said.

He dismissed rumors that the 72-year old Mahathir had been
admitted to the National Heart Center, saying he was, in fact, at
home, resting.

Mahathir completed 15 years in office this month.
