Mahakam gets 5-star award

JAKARTA (JP): The Gran Mahakam hotel in South Jakarta has received a five star certificate from the Jakarta regional office of Tourism, Art and Culture.

The certificate was handed over by the head of the regional office Tjetjep Suparman, to Gran Mahakam's general manager Franck Lafourcade on Sept. 29.

The five star certificate was awarded to the hotel, which opened in February last year with 161 rooms, for its achievement and improvement in service quality, maintenance, facilities and security.

The Gran Mahakam is managed by Hotel Sofitel of the Accor Asia Pacific hotel chain. It is the first Accor hotel in Indonesia to be classified as a five star hotel. (cst)
