The separator, or divider between the fast and slow lanes, on the ring road in Maguwoharjo, Sleman, has been dismantled. The aim is to prepare for the continued construction of the Purwomartani–Maguwoharjo toll road section.

detikJogja monitoring at the location this afternoon observed that the separator being removed stretches from in front of Casa Grande to the PJR Traffic Unit office of the DIY Regional Police. The separator has been removed not only on the north side but also on the south side of the road.

“Yes, that is correct. The dismantling of the separator is related to preparations for the construction of the Jogja–Solo Toll Road. The length from the PJR office to Casa Grande is approximately 1.5 km,” explained PT Jasamarga Jogja-Solo (JMJ) Public Relations officer Rachmat when contacted by journalists on Thursday (20/8).

The dismantling of the separator on that road is intended to allow the continuation of construction on the Purwomartani to Maguwo toll road section.

“As of 12 August, progress on the Purwo–Maguwo segment has reached 47%, and the current focus will be on the Ring Road area. Our plan is hopefully by 2027, or if not in 2027, but that is still our estimate,” said Rachmat.

Rachmat said that on and off ramps, or connecting road sections, will also be built on the toll road in the ring road area.

“For the ring road, yes, that is correct. There will be off ramps later, with ramps on the left and right,” he explained.

To that end, Rachmat continued, in addition to dismantling the separator, parts of the ring road section will also be widened.

“Yes, that is correct. The dismantling is indeed to facilitate access for constructing the toll lane in the middle. Widening, yes, that is correct, widening like that, widening the road again. Later, the widening will make it easier to access the toll lane construction,” he said.

“That is still under review. What is certain is that we have now carried out the dismantling of the road separator from PJR to Casa Grande housing, and we have also prepared for the widening work,” Rachmat concluded.
