Magnitude 5 Earthquake Strikes South Bolaang Mongondow, North Sulawesi
A magnitude 5 earthquake struck South Bolaang Mongondow regency in North Sulawesi province. The epicentre was located at a depth of 13 kilometres.
"The earthquake occurred 96 km southeast of Bolaanguki, South Bolaang Mongondow, North Sulawesi," the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) wrote on its X account on Wednesday (18/2/2026).
The earthquake occurred at 2.24 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB). It was recorded at coordinates 0.18 degrees south latitude and 124.66 degrees east longitude.
