Magnitude 5.5 Earthquake Shakes Gunungkidul

A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. The quake was at a depth of 10 kilometres.

The epicentre was at 9.70 degrees south latitude and 110.19 degrees east longitude. It was not yet known whether the earthquake had caused damage or casualties.

“This information prioritises speed, so the data-processing results are not yet stable and may change as more data becomes available,” BMKG said.
