An earthquake measuring magnitude 4.6 struck Melonguane, Talaud Islands, North Sulawesi, at a depth of 10 kilometres.

Through its X account, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that the earthquake occurred on Sunday (15/2/2026) at 22:58 Western Indonesian Time (WIB). The epicentre was located 184 kilometres northeast of Melonguane, North Sulawesi.

The coordinates of the earthquake were at 4.39 degrees north latitude and 128.29 degrees east longitude.

BMKG noted that earthquake information may change as data becomes more complete. “This information prioritises speed, therefore the data processing results are not yet stable and may change as data is completed,” the agency stated.

There have been no reports so far of casualties or damage resulting from the event.
