Magnitude 4.3 Earthquake Strikes Gayo Lues, Aceh
A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck Gayo Lues regency in Aceh province. The quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres.
"Earthquake Mag: 4.3, (38 km northeast of Gayo Lues regency, Aceh)," the BMKG wrote in a post on its official X account on Sunday (22/2/2026).
The earthquake was recorded at 04:05 Western Indonesian Time (WIB). The coordinates of the quake were located at 4.26 degrees North Latitude and 97.56 degrees East Longitude.
As of the time of reporting, no further information regarding the impact of the earthquake has been released.
