Magnitude 3.4 Earthquake Shakes Sigi, Central Sulawesi
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that an earthquake occurred in Sigi, Central Sulawesi. The earthquake had a magnitude of 3.4 and was centred on land.
BMKG stated the earthquake occurred on Friday (19/6/2026), at approximately 01:54 WIB. The location was at 1.13 south latitude and 120.27 east longitude.
“48 kilometres northeast of Sigi, Central Sulawesi,” BMKG said.
The earthquake’s epicentre was at a depth of 3 km. It is not yet known whether there was any damage caused by the earthquake.
