Magelang's Organic Coconut Sugar Exports Reach Malaysia

A micro, small, and medium enterprise (SME) PT Nira Lestari International has demonstrated the global competitiveness of local products by exporting organic coconut sugar to Malaysia on Thursday (16/7/2026) from Semen Hamlet, Candimulyo District, Magelang Regency. This shipment serves as proof that coconut derivatives from Magelang and its surrounding areas can meet the stringent standards of international markets. The Head of the Magelang Customs and Excise Office, Nugroho Wigijarto, who accompanied the export process and supervised the loading of goods, expressed his appreciation for the consistency and hard work of PT Nira Lestari International in penetrating the global market. Nugroho emphasised that Magelang Customs is committed to providing the widest possible assistance to SMEs through the Export Clinic programme. ‘We are ready to provide the best service, ease of procedures, and end-to-end assistance so that more local SMEs gain the confidence and ability to expand their businesses overseas,’ said Nugroho. The successful export of organic coconut sugar to Malaysia is expected to serve as a stimulus and inspiration for other SME players in the Magelang area and its surroundings to continue innovating.
