Magelang's Organic Coconut Sugar Exports Reach Malaysia

An Indonesian micro, small and medium enterprise (UMKM), PT Nira Lestari International, has demonstrated the competitiveness of local products in the global market with the dispatch of an organic coconut sugar export to Malaysia on Thursday (16/7/2026) in Semen Hamlet, Candimulyo District, Magelang Regency. This commodity shipment serves as proof that coconut-derived products from Magelang and its surrounding areas can meet the stringent standards of overseas markets.

The Head of the Magelang Customs Office, Nugroho Wigijarto, who accompanied the export and supervised the loading process, expressed appreciation for PT Nira Lestari International’s consistency and hard work in penetrating international markets.

Nugroho affirmed that Magelang Customs remains committed to keeping doors of assistance as wide open as possible for SMEs through its Export Clinic programme. “We are ready to provide the best service, simplified procedures, and end-to-end guidance so that more local SMEs feel confident and able to expand their businesses abroad,” said Nugroho.

The successful export of organic coconut sugar to Malaysia is hoped to serve as a stimulus and inspiration for other SMEs in the Magelang area to continue innovating. Going forward, Magelang Customs and relevant stakeholders are committed to strengthening support synergies so that SME export volumes increase and reach new destination countries.
