Madura swimming on 'SCTV'

JAKARTA (JP): No less than 2,000 people are expected to pack
the Madura Strait, East Java, tomorrow in the Suramadu marathon
swimming competition.

The swimmers will form a 4.5-kilometer human bridge spanning
from Dermaga Ujung, Surabaya to Madura. The formation is expected
to be complete at around 9 a.m.

Surabaya-based private TV station SCTV will air the event live
starting from 8 a.m. The event is being jointly held by the Navy
Marine Corps and SCTV in commemoration of the corps' 51st
anniversary. (yan)
