The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that the professional allowance for madrasah teachers (TPG) will be disbursed in phases commencing this week. The Director-General for Islamic Education at the ministry, Amien Suyitno, said the department needs to issue the Surat Keputusan Analisis Kelayakan Penerima Tunjangan (SKAKPT) for madrasah teachers receiving the TPG. SKAKPT is issued when teachers meet administrative requirements.

The ministry is speeding up the issuance of SKAKPT so that madrasah teachers can receive the TPG promptly, he said in an official Kemenag statement dated Thursday, 5 March 2026.

Based on the SKAKPT processing data on 2 and 4 March 2026, of a total of 405,438 madrasah teachers who hold a teacher registration number, 246,449 SKAKPT have been issued. This figure includes 32,081 teachers who completed the 2025 Teacher Professional Education (PPG).

Meanwhile, around 158,989 other teachers are still undergoing final administrative processing for SKAKPT in the next stage.

He scheduled the third phase of SKAKPT issuance for 7 March and the fourth phase for 9 March 2026. Consequently, the SKAKPT issuance process is expected to be concluded swiftly so that the disbursement of the TPG to madrasah teachers can continue to accelerate.

Suyitno claimed that the TPG disbursement is a manifestation of the government’s commitment to improving the welfare of madrasah teachers. The ministry also continues to update data and strengthen the digitisation of administrative systems to ensure TPG disbursement is transparent and targeted.

“We also hope that madrasah teachers will continue to sustain their dedication in shaping an excellent generation and in strengthening the quality of Islamic education in Indonesia,” he said.

Earlier, there was circulation on social media of a Kemenag letter containing an announcement about the January-February 2026 teacher professional allowance that could not be paid due to lack of budget. The letter, issued on 25 February 2026, was addressed to all regional office heads of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in provinces, the Heads of Madrasah Education/Islamic Education/Islamic Religion and Guidance.

“Based on the circular of the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs No. 85/SJ/KU.00.2/01/2026 dated 27 January on the payment of the teacher professional allowance for teachers/dosen who passed certification in 2025, then the payment of the teacher professional allowance for teachers and heads of madrasah who completed the PPG in 2025 (even if they have received an NRG) is temporarily unable to be paid until budget allocation is available,” the third point of that letter states.
