Madiun Railway Division Records 300,542 Passengers During Eid Period 11-24 March 2026

Madiun, East Java - PT KAI (Persero) Daerah Operasi (Daop) 7 Madiun, East Java, recorded 300,542 customers using train transportation services during the Eid transport period from 11-24 March 2026. Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 7 Madiun, Tohari, in Madiun, East Java, on Tuesday, stated that in detail, 126,191 people were departing customers and 174,351 customers arrived at various stations in its operational area. “The high number of passengers in the Madiun Daop area shows the strong trust of the public in using rail transport for mobility during this Eid transport period,” he said. According to him, based on monitoring data from Daop 7 Madiun, on H+2 Eid 2026 or Monday (23/3/2026), it became the peak of the 2026 Eid return flow with 17,404 passengers. “Based on the data, there were 31,024 passengers on H+2 Eid 2026 or Monday, consisting of 17,404 departing passengers and 13,620 passengers alighting or arriving in the Daop 7 Madiun area. That day was the peak return flow in the Madiun area during this year’s Eid,” said Tohari. Meanwhile, Madiun Station recorded the highest departure volume on Monday (23/3/2026), reaching 6,313 passengers, followed by Kediri Station with 1,476 passengers, Jombang Station with 1,447 passengers, Tulungagung Station with 1,428 passengers, Blitar Station with 1,085 passengers, and the rest from 8 other stations in the Daop 7 Madiun area. Meanwhile, today’s passenger occupancy monitoring on Tuesday, based on collected data, for departing passengers reached 14,604 passengers and arrivals 10,747 passengers. That number continues to rise in line with train departures and arrivals until midnight. KAI Daop 7 Madiun continues to commit to providing the best service to all customers during the 2026 Eid transport period, which will run until 1 April 2026.
